Uma Thurman & Hotel Guy: DUNZO!

Uma Thurman and hotelier Andre Balazs have ended their three-year, on-again off-again relationship, a source close to the actress tells PEOPLE.

The breakup of Thurman, 36, and Balazs, 50 – who had begun dating in late 2003 – takes place amid rumors that the couple were planning to wed in the Caribbean this summer.

Thurman's publicist, Robert Garlock, did not wish to comment on Sunday.

Just over a year ago at this time, after Thurman appeared at the 2006 Oscars without Balazs, Garlock issued a statement saying that the Kill Bill actress and Balazs – who owns such properties as New York's Mercer Hotel and the Chateau Marmont and the Standard in Los Angeles – had ended their relationship.

"Unfortunately, it is true," said the March 8, 2006, statement. "But we remain close friends."

By last fall, however, the two were again more than just friends, being seen together everywhere from Copenhagen to New York – which Thurman and her two children by former husband Ethan Hawke call home.

Thurman and Hawke were together for six years, until she filed for divorce in 2003.

Thurman is currently filming The Accidental Husband, in which she stars as a talk-radio host who gets into trouble after dishing out love advice.

Ralph Fiennes Encouraged to get an AIDS Test After Airplane Tryst

Lisa Robertson

Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Fiennes was urged to take an Aids test yesterday after the air stewardess who seduced him on a Qantas jet admitted she had previously worked as a high-class prostitute.

Lisa Robertson, 38, said she earned up to £800 a night in an upmarket Syndey brothel while working for the Australian airline.

She told a Sydney newspaper she first sold herself to pay the rent "because I was too proud to ask anyone for money".

Miss Roberston was suspended - then sacked - by Qantas after her tryst with the British actor on a flight from Australia to Mumbai in January.

During the nine-hour flight from Darwin, Miss Robertson allowed Fiennes, who was seated in business class, to break aircraft rules by sitting beside her on the crew jump seat, which is used during their break.

After chatting together, there was, she admitted, a lot of "body language" between them and even the odd kiss or two.

She gave him her phone number. Finally she decided to take matters into her own hands.

"I just stood up, reached down for his hand and told him to follow me," she told friends.

"We went into the toilet and locked the door and off came much of our clothes."

She said they then had passionate and apparently unprotected sex.

After the plane landed in Mumbai shortly after 7pm local time Miss Robertson travelled to the Grand Hyatt, a 20-minute drive from the city's international airport.

Miss Robertson apparently did not use her room. Fiennes, 44, called her on her mobile, wanting to see her again.

They met at a hotel and spent a passionate night together, this time practising safe sex.

"Lisa was completely smitten by him," said a friend at the time. "She just hoped that the relationship could continue on from there but perhaps she was hoping for too much."

According to the actor's schedule, he had to set off the next morning for engagements in Indian villages, which included 'preaching' about the dangers of Aids and the need to engage in safe sex.

Fiennes has not commented on his liaison with Miss Robertson.

Hopefully this Anna Nicole Saga will be over soon

Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur arrived separately in the Bahamas on the afternoon of March 16 to attend a crucial court hearing in the ongoing fight for custody of Anna Nicole Smith’s 6-month old daughter, Dannielynn.

The judge will determine if Howard K Stern is required to submit to a paternity test, even though he is listed on the baby’s birth certificate as her father. It is Birkhead’s hope that the DNA testing will take place today.

Both Stern and Birkhead claim to be Dannielynn’s biological father.

Birkhead, 34, says that he’s anticipating a positive outcome to today’s hearing. “I’m hoping for the best,” he says. “I’m hoping for good news.”

He also says that he has confidence in the Bahamian court system. Birkhead arrived with his Bahamian lawyer, Emmrick Knowles, after his American attorney, Debra Opri, abruptly dropped Birkhead as a client.

Opri told Extra that she “had enough,” but that she “wishes Larry the best.” When asked about Opri’s decision, Birkhead declined comment.

In the meantime, Birkhead is preparing a nursery for Dannielynn. “It’s great,” he said, when asked how decorating was coming along.

And the saga continues.

UPDATE: Larry Birkhead confirms to Usmagazine.com that he got some good news—the judge in the case has ordered DNA tests.

Howard K Stern was a no-show.

However, Birkhead and Stern have been ordered back to the Bahamas on Tuesday, March 20 to hear testimony from DNA experts, and to further discuss Stern's fitness as a father.

When leaving the courtroom, Birkhead was in very good spirits. "I can't say what happened today, just that I'm happy and grateful," Birkhead tells Us. "I know I'm the father," he continued. "I just want the court to know I'm the father. I will be back on Tuesday."
