JENNIFER LOPEZ's husband MARC ANTHONY has settled a tax case to avoid criminal prosecution.
The Latino singer and two others agreed to pay a total of $2.5 million (GBP1.28 million) in back taxes as part of a plea agreement in New York.
The charges, obtained by TMZ.com, stem from an investigation into three companies controlled by Anthony.
The New York County District Attorney claimed the singer and his partners "failed to file New York State and City corporate tax returns and pay their respective tax liabilities."
Anthony and his colleagues have agreed to pay the debt by 31 May (07) or face additional penalties.
