Rose McGowan ordered her ‘Grindhouse’ co-stars not to wear red to the premiere so she wouldn't be upstaged.
The stunning actress infuriated fellow female stars by telling her representatives to warn them not turn up in the same color.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “It caused quite a stir. The feeling is she's self-obsessed.”
The movie – in which Rose plays a thrill-seeking stripper – also stars Rosario Dawson, Jordan Ladd and Sydney Tamiia Poitier.
Twins Elise and Electra Avellan – who have minor roles in the movie written by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez – ignored the suggested ‘dress code’ and arrived in brazen red outfits.
The source said: “It was basically a 'f**k you!' to Rose.”
Another source said Rose’s instructions were intended to help the girls co-ordinate so they would look “amazing and sexy and beautiful”.
The 33-year-old also made demands during filming – insisting the crew cleaned a strip club pole because she was paranoid about the germs on it.
She said: “I made them Windex the pole. That's a lot of bacteria adding up over the course of an evening.”
Rose McGowan plays Cherry Darling, a gun-toting, go-go dancer with an attitude in “Planet Terror”, the first chapter of the upcoming action movie.
In other news, McGowan feared for beauty after a freak car accident.
The actress was the passenger in a car that was struck by another vehicle. The impact pushed her glasses into her face, slicing into the skin beneath her eye reports Post Chronicle
McGowan tells Page Six, "I didn't realize I was hurt until I put my hand to my face and felt the flap of skin. My glasses had sliced me under my eye."
Charlotte Church Looking Rough on Holiday w/ Girlfriends
Glowing with health and showing off her changing figure, this is Charlotte Church taking pregnancy in her stride. The 21-year-old TV presenter, who is four months pregnant, is enjoying a no-expense-spared holiday in Thailand with a gaggle of female friends - including the sister of her rugby player boyfriend Gavin Henson.
She is understood to have spent £100,000 on the break at the exclusive Rayavadee resort and has told friends it is a "hen week holiday", providing the strongest hint yet that she plans to marry Henson before their child is born.
Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz are Doin' it
They must be really close friends: Ashlee Simpson and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz spent Saturday night kissing and cuddling at the new L.A. hot spot Parc.
At the club for a pal's birthday, Simpson, 22, and Wentz, 27, got cozy in a semi-hidden booth, holding hands, gazing into each other's eyes and smooching in between Simpson's dance sessions with a group of girlfriends.
"They definitely weren't hiding the fact that they were together," said one onlooker. "They were making out a lot and they were pretty intense."
Wentz told PEOPLE in November that although "Ashlee is the sweetest girl ever," they were "just friends." And in February he told Rolling Stone: "Maybe in a different universe, we'd be some hot couple, but not in this one."
Perhaps Parc is a different universe. After their PDA-filled evening in front of clubgoers including The O.C.'s Adam Brody and Benjamin McKenzie (who at one point gathered with other friends around Simpson and Wentz's booth to sing "Happy Birthday" to the guest of honor), the pop star and the rocker left together, hand-in-hand.

Confirmed: Nicole Kidman is Pregnant!
Nicole Kidman is pregnant, we can reveal.
Friends of the movie star have told the News of The World newspaper she is "over the moon" after learning this week she's expecting a baby.
In confirmation of the story broke by FemaleFirst last week Nicole and husband Keith Urban, both 39, have been trying for a child since they married in June last year.
And now a friend has is quoted as sayinf they've managed it, they are both absolutely delighted that a little Urban junior is on the way.
Ms Kidman was told the news after a visit to the St John's Health Centre in Santa Monica, California.
Nicole was spotted going to collect her test results from her personal physician on Wednesday.
Nicole and Keith are both delighted and can't wait to be a proper little family, the friend told the newspaper.
Nicole has already started shopping for baby gear.

My Muse Tori Amos Speaks about Miss Britney Spears
When someone as respected and beloved as Tori Amos comes to your defense, while you are attempting to reclaim yourself against a tsunami of criticism, then that’s something to be happy about. So is the case for the recently rehabbed pop sensation Britney Spears. Tori recently spoke up about Britney’s troubles and points to Britney’s label as being a part of the problem:
“Whether they’re selling perfume or a song, people have decided they’re a brand. Hollywood did a good job of creating icons in the 30s and 40s, they understood a story. Now, give ‘em a haircut and some clothes and they think they can pull off Aphrodite. Then you have situations like Britney shaving her head. I don’t think her sweet, saccharine image was close to who she really was, and she rebelled.”
Obviously, Britney’s image isn’t the only element in her fall from grace; Britney’s crumbling marriage, dealing with parenthood and substance abuse issues were a bigger part of the problem. But maybe, Britney’s has been trying to tell us something about herself all these years.
From her public kiss with fellow pop-rebel Madonna, to her shredding her pop-tart image for songs like “Toxic” and “I’m A Slave For U,” it’s clear that Britney’s much “darker” than her peers, and quite possibly, has felt trapped in a persona that didn’t closely match who she really was.
Tori Amos’ observations, though simplistic, may in truth be really insightful. More importantly, her experiences make her a credible witness to testify on Britney’s “troubled” behalf. Tori Amos has had her share of hard times too.
Despite their disparate musical stylings, Tori and Britney have a couple things in common and if Tori’s right, both performers began their careers as something different than who they were inside.
Amos began her career in an ill-conceived band in the mid-80’s called “Y Tori Can’t Read.” She recorded one album and was tossed aside for being silly and derivitive of the whole 80’s synth sound - sort of like if Kate Bush sang for Duran Duran. This initial failure was likely her saving grace, as Tori was forced to find her own voice and sound. Which she did with great gusto, paving the way for many of the alternative female singer-songwriters who would come after her (Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Fiona Apple and Alanis Morissette to name a few.)
Tori had great success in the early 90’s from her first solo album Little Earthquakes, the single “Silent All These Years” and later with “Cornflake Girl” and “Crucify” sealed her status as cult icon. Despite writing quirky, off-kilter songs — on a piano no less — Tori has a rabidly loyal fanbase, has recorded over 10 albums, sold over 15 million records and her new and eagerly anticipated record, American Doll Posse is set to be released on May 1.
Tori, like Britney, knows personal heartache. During her early years in LA, Tori was raped by an acquaintence and wrote about her experience in her song “My And A Gun.” She’s done benefits for RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) a charity designed to help those who are struggling with sexual assault and abuse and has openly spoken out about her abuse in an effort to raise awareness.
Tori, having had her career sidetracked due to an ill-conceived image and having suffered personal trauma, gives her unique perspective to see through the b.s. in Britney’s life and maybe even offer a light at the end of the tunnel for Spears. If Britney can stay focused, and discover who she really is inside, maybe she can reach even greater success with a whole new image - one she can finally be true to.
It might be a stretch to imagine Britney becoming an indie icon like the outrageously talented Tori Amos - but stranger things have happened to lesser people.
